Default Easy access buttons?

Well before i begin in posting this, if this type of post ain't allowed then i apologise just wanted to make a quick suggestion.

You know on user.php you get your server list, i was thinking, why not add a quick restart server(s) button there? i know it sounds lazy, but think of it this way if someone was to have all their 5 server slots used up and wanted to reboot all the servers they would want to reset it on a single page without having to click on one page to reboot then having to back page then doing the same process as before.

Once again if this ain't the type of area to suggest, then i apologise just i thought it would go under Feedbacks.

good idea... taking it further it'd be cool to have an update all servers too

We've got 4 servers here and a few more on another GSP for L4D/L4D2 and whenever there's an update have got to go through them one by one...

hmm yes, actually in the pre formatted jobs you should be able to get your server to check for updates on a daily basis eg, my servers restart EVERY day at 5 am so if i got the servers to check for updates at 4:30 automatically and if there is to resync.... that would be brilliant..

This is always something we have wanted to implement, but currently don't have the time to. We're busy supporting our customers and keeping everything working!

Ok because i opened this topic, i have another question

Will you ever be creating a program that can be ran directly from a clients desktop where they can easily reset their server or view console, etc?

I know this may be a long shot because it includes coding probably in C++ o_O

I will presume that as a no,
e-frag will leave this to be done by specific rcon tools, for example rcontool will connect to all the cod series and run exactly what you said there for cod...
there is more for each game, just a simple check on your relative games official community and you can easily find a suitable rcon tool, but I HIGHLY doubt efrag will have the time to do that, although it would be nice.

mmm well if they used Visual c#/c++ they could easily manipulate the client to use a web page for it o-o

Then again it would require the hasle in actually sorting the security out on it.

Eh, we'll have to see

Simple answer on that one, tis a no. Not something we will do, there are plenty of rcon tools available, HLSW being one of the main ones out there. If you meant for panel commands, then for the sake of saving 10 seconds, again, its not something we will do for that reason.

Regarding the restart all/update all - This is something i've discussed with Will in the past. At the time, despite it being possible, it simply wasn't feasable to implement. I'll discuss with him again soon and see if the stance has changed at all.

How would this be an improvement over using HLSW, or even just simply opening your web browser and visiting E-Frag's website?

I could build a prototype pretty easily - but there's really no reason to.
