I hear they are only releasing Windows Servers for at least 6 months i do not know how true this is but unhaddy days if it is true

Same, myself and my clannys have gotten a little bored of L4D now and are now playing Arma2 quite alot.

Would be great if Efrag hosts a server.

for the next 6month BI say they are not going to release a Linux dedicated server so untill there is a linux version we find our self not being able to host them

ps also i have an edited Evolution where you do not need to rank up before you can use the Attck Heli's or the M1A Abraham
I am an internediate Scripter for ArmA and after looking at the code and playing around with the files I found it easy to add what ever i want to the evolution campaign please drop me a line if your intrested in my version of evo it works great for clans who are it to playing with the big toys .Some say it takes the fun out of evo but i say why have a base full of kit and then go out on foot with a 1969 M16 with an iron sight "Give Me A M107 and let me snipe from 1500m

hope to see some clans posting ArmA2 server ip here also if you would like to co rent a ArmA2 server with another clan post here maybe we can get a server to play on together .

Ok we are working on getting the arma2 servers up here at e-frag but we still have a few issuses but we are working on them as we speak, so soon i hope. there are 2 maps that come with the game but there are many more to come. You may want to be looking for evolution missons as these use every city in the map and battles can last days even weeks depending on how many players are in the server, if any one has rented a ArmA 2 server please share your ip so we can come and take a look.

The issues we face at the moment is you can't specify the IP address, it will automatically assign it to the IP of the server, which isn't something we are going to be doing.

According to the developers, this is how the game is designed, so if this is teh case and it can't be changed, we won't be able to host them for that reason. Hopefully we will find a way round it, but who knows.

surely it must look in a pool of ip's u set to choose one and one is choosen the ip gets taken out ???? other wise the game wud assign lan ips in which u wud have to port forward to the ip u want them to have???? just thinkin out loud here ill have a look around see what i can dig up, u never know.
